Tesla Model X
Tesla Model X Engine:-
Like the S, the Tesla Model X is also available in three variants - 75D, 100D, and P100D. The basic idea remains the same, with the 75D featuring a smaller battery pack (75 kWh) and the 100D and P100D sharing the same 100 kWh battery pack. The P100D also has a performance motor that makes it the fastest and fastest crossover in the world.
However, due to the larger body, the performance figures are lower than those of the Model S. The 75D can run up to 417 km on a full charge, reach a top speed of 209 mph and accelerate to 100 mph from a standstill in 4.9 seconds. The same figures for the 100D are 565 km, 250 km (limited), and 4.7 seconds respectively.
The performance motor in the P100D reduces the range to 541 km, but can achieve the same top speed of 250 kmph, which is electronically limited, and accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds.
Tesla Model X Variants:-
In all three variants, features such as full self-driving capability, advanced Autopilot, and 20-inch Pirelli winter tires are offered as optional extras. However, 8 years infinite kilometer warranty for the battery and drive unit and 4 year/80,467 km warranty for the complete package is available across all three variants.
Standard kit on the 75D and 100D remains the same and both get the option of a 'Premium Upgrade Package'. The P100D gets additional features like heated seats, an option for premium interiors, HEPA air filter, and a heated steering wheel. If we have to choose, it's the 100D that gets our nod. The P100D is far more expensive and its blazing performance isn't exactly suitable for a day-to-day drive.
Tesla Model X Features:-
Tesla tags it as an SUV but we're more used to the term 'crossover' for what the Tesla Model X looks like. It looks more like a bloated version of the Model S. The main differences lie in the larger alloy wheels (20-inch as standard and 22-inch optional), rear doors that work better in tighter parking spaces, and a taller overall stance. The hatchback tailgate is present here and, in case you're wondering, opening and closing the side set of front doors is old-fashioned.
No point guessing, the similarity of things inside the cabin with the Model S is uncanny. The 17-inch touchscreen display that controls almost all aspects of the car is exactly the same and dominates the dashboard. The standard 5-seater layout can be converted to a 6- or 7-seat configuration for an additional fee. Like the Model S, the Tesla Model X comes with two dedicated places for cargo. But, strangely, Tesla has not disclosed official volume figures. The Tesla Model X will certainly accommodate more luggage than the Model S.
Tesla Model X Competitors:-
The Tesla Model X currently has no direct rivals. But in terms of size, it comes in the category of Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and BMW X5.
Tesla Model X Price:-
The Tesla Model X estimated price will be 2 crores rupees in India.
