The Kia Niro Ev is expected to be available with HEV, PHEV and EV powertrains. Kia Niro Ev is expected to be launched in India in 2023. The EV powertrain variant will be called the e-Niro. The e-Niro is available worldwide with two electric motor/battery combinations. As seen on the Kona, the starting combination is a 136bhp electric motor with a 39.2kWh battery. A 64kWh battery and a 240bhp electric motor are the other options. The e-Nero also has the option of fast charging. According to Kia, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 54 minutes.

The design of Kia Niro Ev is influenced by nature in terms of colours, materials and finishes, striking the optimum balance between environmental responsibility and a forward-thinking attitude. 

The automobile features a hi-tech two-tone body with a sporty and bold crossover appearance. The widened rear pillar improves the air flow and blends well with the boomerang shaped back taillights to enhance the aerodynamics.

Apart from a tougher fender at the bottom, the car gets a new Kia distinctive 'tiger face'. A sticky heartbeat LED DRL completes the front look. The rear end of the car features a distinctive vertical taillight design which helps in enhancing the aerodynamics and technology. It also has an impressive presence with strong shoulders and tall windows.

The brand hasn't revealed any details about the launch of the Kia Niro Ev in India, though we expect it to happen in 2023. With this EV, Kia is expected to enter the Rs 20 lakh price range.
