MG Astor Latest Updates-
MG will offer the Astor with some segment-first features like AI Personal Assistant and ADAS. The latter packs adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping/departure assist, collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear-drive assist and blind spot detection. The Aster 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines will be offered only petrol.
MG Astor Specifications-
MG will offer the Astor two petrol powertrain options: 110PS/144Nm 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 140PS/220Nm 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed CVT (for the NA motor) and a 6-speed automatic (for the turbo-petrol unit).
MG Astor Characteristics-
The MG Astor will be equipped with segment-first ADAS, which include forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and high-beam assist. Other features will include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, 7-inch digital driver display, AI-powered features with voice command-based functions, a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way powered . Driver seat, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger and automatic climate control. Security protection will include multiple airbags, hill descent control, electronic stability control and a 360-degree camera.
MG Astor Rivals-
MG Astor will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun.
MG Astor Launch & Price-
MG is expected to launch the Astor in India in October 2021 with prices starting at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
