Mahindra Thar 2020 Latest Update-

A brochure containing a list of items for the new Thar has been leaked. It has a variety of cosmetic and utilitarian items. External accessories include 18-inch alloy wheels ranging from extra cladding and chrome inserts to the LX variant, while the cabin is offered with multiple seat covers, floor mats and vibe-branded speaker upgrades.

The Mahindra Thar 2020 will be offered in three variants: AX, AX Opt and LX. The 2.2-liter diesel and 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engines on offer will have powertrains, paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. The starting price is expected to be Rs10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the new Force Gurkha.

Mahindra Thar 2020 Specifications-

The Mahindra Thar 2020 will come with two engine options: a 130PS / 300Nm 2.2-liter diesel engine and a 150PS / 320Nm 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine. Both engines will be offered with the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission, and with 4x4 drivetrain with a low range transfer case as standard. The off-road oriented AX variant gets mechanical locking differential while the LX variant also gets brake locking differential for better off-road capability. The new Thar has a 650 mm water fading capacity, an approach angle of 41.8 degrees, a departure angle of 36.8 degrees and a rampover angle of 27 degrees. It is covered with a new ladder frame chassis and has independent double wishbone suspension at the front and multi link coil springs at the rear.

Mahindra Thar 2020 Variant-

The Mahindra Thar 2020 Thar will come in two variants: AX and LX. The Thar AX series is aimed at adventurous seekers while the LX takes a more premium approach. The latter is also offered with a factory hardtop, while both variants are also provided with a soft top.

Mahindra Thar 2020 Facilities-

Notable features in the Thar include a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, climate control, a colorful multi-info display, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, front power windows and remote locking. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability program, hill hold assist and even a roll cage.
