Kia Sonet Latest Update-
Kia Motors has launched the Kia Sonet sub-4 meter SUV in the price range between Rs 6.71 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) in India. Keep in mind, the price of GTX + automatic variants will be revealed by the end of September. It is offered in the Tech Line and GT Line trims, of which there are six variants: HTE, HTK, HTK +, HTX, HTX + and GTX +. It has already racked up over 1,000 bookings, so far the total count has been around 25,000.
Kia's traditional N Tiger Nose 'grille at Sony is paired with LED headlights and LED DRLS, LED taillamps and 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels. Cabin highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, UVO connected car tech, wireless charging and a Bose 7-speaker sound system. Under the hood, the Sonnet is powered by 1.2-liter petrol, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine options, with five transmission combinations to choose from.
It likes the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza as well as the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser.
Kia Sonet Specifications-
Under the hood, the Kia Sonet is offered with three engine options: an 83PS 1.2-liter petrol, a 120PS 1.0-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5PS liter engine in tune to 100PS (MT) and 115PS (AT). While 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines are offered with a manual transmission, the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol only gets an iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) clutchless manual. Automatic transmission options are only available for the 1.5-liter diesel and 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engines, with diesel options using a proper 6-speed torque converter unlike its rivals, which come with an AMT. Fuel efficiency figures are rated at 18.4kmpl (1.2-liter petrol MT), 18.2 / 18.3kmpl (1.0-liter turbo-petrol MT / DCT), and 24.1 / 19kmpl (1.5-liter diesel MT / AT).
Kia Sonet Variants-
Kia offers the Kia Sonet in a total of six variants within the Tech Line and GT Line trims: HTE, HTK, HTK +, HTX, HTX + and GTX +. The Tech line takes a more elegant approach to its design, while the latter incorporates a dose of sportiness with red inserts and badges inside and outside the GT line.

The Kia Sonet is loaded with features such as Android Auto and a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, UVO connected car tech, LED sound mood lighting, 7-speaker Bose sound system, cruise control and a colorful multi-info display. Other bits include a sunroof with push-button start, ventilated front seats, automatic headlamps and keyless entry. On the safety front, it has six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor with rearview camera, electronic stability control and tire pressure monitoring system.
